BiomedLab participated in the LABI Meeting in Buenos Aires, where our team presented the NatalIA project and contributed to discussions on advancing imaging research in Latin America. We were honored to collaborate with SIPAIM Society during the event and witness the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between SIPAIM and LABI. This partnership reinforces regional cooperation and fosters new opportunities for joint initiatives in bioimaging.

RISE MICCAI released the first episode of its new podcast ‘Voices of RISE MICCAI,’ featuring Andrea Lara and spotlighting the development of Guatemala’s biomedical engineering program and BiomedLab’s contributions to AI-driven healthcare. BiomedLab represented Universidad Galileo at MICCAI 2025 in Daejeon, Korea, thanks to key grants from the MICCAI Society and Global BioImaging. Our team presented the NatalIA project, which received the Best Paper Award at the MIRASOL Workshop.
